I am working on an Haitian Creole dictionary. Does this software support Haitian Creole. If it does what version Should I buy?

ReplyDeleteHaitian Creole will work, yes. Might need a small amount of customization if you need the digraphs to sort as single characters (this is something we can assist with if you purchase a basic support pack), and depending on the complexity of the dictionary, may need a little customization of the 'dictionary grammar' (in technical terms, the 'DTD' - e.g. if you need to add any new fields specific to your dictionary project). I suggest you start by downloading a trial version from http://tshwanedje.com/downloads/ and watching the basic 'intro' videos, and trying things out. If your project is academic in nature (e.g. will be purchased by a university or for research work) (or involves an endangered language, though this doesn't seem to be the case here) then you can purchase the low-cost academic version. If you intend to publish the dictionary, e.g. if the dictionary will eventually be sold, then the 'personal license' would probably be applicable. If it's a publisher or government organization purchasing the license(s), usually the commercial license would apply.
